WE HAVE ANSWERS

Answers to the frequently asked
questions about our products.

CBD is a naturally occurring, non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid out of over 100 cannabinoids that have been identified in cannabis plants. While it can be extracted from both marijuana and hemp plants, only CBD that is extracted from hemp plants is federally legal in the United States.

CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is pronounced (ka-nuh-buh-dai-uhl), which rhymes with crocodile.

All 4Fathers Organics CBD products have been rigorously tested by a Certified 3rd Party Lab to ensure they are free of contaminants, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiology.  These 3rd party lab test reports are available for every 4Fathers Organics CBD product that is sold and can be accessed by scanning the QR code and entering the batch number that is imprinted on the product.

The length of time it takes for CBD to take effect depends mainly on the type of CBD product that is being used.  Generally, CBD in vaporized or smokable form takes effect in seconds-to-minutes, CBD tincture oil generally takes between 15-20 minutes to take effect and CBD edibles can take over an hour before an effect is experienced.  We generally suggest that CBD be consumed daily for a consecutive 30-day period before the consumer makes a determination on whether CBD works for them.

CBD oil is made by combining the raw hemp CBD extract, which is has a thick consistency, with a carrier oil such as MCT oil or Extra-Virgin Olive Oil so that it is easier to consume and be absorbed by the body.

Cannabinoids are the naturally occurring chemical compounds that are found in cannabis plants. Cannabinoids that are produced by plants are called phytocannabinoids while cannabinoids produced by humans are called endocannabinoids. Both types of cannabinoids interact with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) that is found in all vertebrates and is responsible for maintaining balance (i.e., homeostasis) within the body.

CBD works through its interaction with the Endocannabinoid System which is why it has shown so much potential to help with so many things like promoting more restful sleep, alleviating stress and much more.

Hemp seed oil is different from CBD oil both by how it is made and what it is used for.  Hemp seed oil is made by pressing the seeds of a hemp plant, while CBD oil is made by extracting from the flowers and leaves of a hemp plant.  Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD or other cannabinoids but is rich in protein and fatty acids.  CBD oil on the other hand, contains cannabinoids but not the protein or fatty acids that are prevalent in hemp seed oil.

Hemp is the type of cannabis plant from which the phytocannabinoid CBD is most often extracted.  Not all varieties of hemp are rich in phytocannabinoids.  Some varieties of hemp are cultivated for fiber or grain, which often do not contain a high volume of CBD.  The varieties of hemp that our CBD is extracted from are rich in phytocannabinoids and cultivated for the specific purpose of cannabinoid extraction.

CBD products have been consumed for several years by hundreds of thousands of people throughout the nation and there have been no known reports of CBD being the cause of any illness.  Our 3rd party lab testing ensures that all 4Fathers Organics CBD products are free of contamination, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiology such as mold and mildew; so, you can have the peace of mind that our products are safe for consumption.

By definition in the United States, any cannabis plant that contains greater than 0.3% Delta-9 THC is considered marijuana and any cannabis plant that contains equal-to or less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC is hemp.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a system that is integral to maintaining balance within various systems of the body.  Phytocannabinoids such as CBD are used to help support the ECS and regulate areas where imbalance occurs. There are a myriad of health benefits that have been reported by those who have consumed CBD such as support with sleep, stress, and recovery.

Only our full-spectrum line of CBD products contains 0.3% or less Delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis. Our broad-spectrum line of CBD products shows 0.0% Delta-9 THC on their lab reports.

It is possible for small-traces of THC to be found in raw hemp extract.

Yes, 3rd party lab test reports are available by batch number for every 4Fathers Organics CBD product that is sold.  These reports are available on our website and can also be located on www.mycbdtest.com.  There is a batch number imprinted on each of our products for you to enter so you can locate the lab report for your specific product.

Broad Spectrum generally refers to CBD oil where the Delta-9 THC is the raw hemp extract is removed, without disturbing the other beneficial compounds contained in the hemp extract such as minor cannabinoids and terpenes.

Full spectrum generally refers to CBD oil where the residual Delta-9 THC in the raw hemp extract is not removed, though the THC percentage shall not exceed 0.3% on a dry weight basis.

As compared to intoxicating cannabinoids such as Delta-9 THC, CBD is non-intoxicating and therefore its effects are more subtle.  Since the results from cannabinoids such as CBD may vary from person to person, we suggest making a list of reasons for which CBD is being used, and to then use CBD for a 30-day period before determining whether CBD was helpful.

No record exists of anyone overdosing on CBD, cannabis or any other cannabinoid.

Broad-spectrum CBD products are best suited for those who want to avoid consuming Delta-9 THC without sacrificing the minor cannabinoids and terpenes that can be found in full-spectrum hemp extract.  There is a growing body of evidence indicating that the cannabinoids and terpenes working synergistically with one another are more effective than if they are isolated.  This synergistic process is what is commonly known as the “Entourage Effect.”

Terpenes are naturally occurring compounds that are responsible for the distinct aroma of cannabis and other plants, which have been used for centuries in aromatherapy.  The 5 most prevalent terpenes found in cannabis include Beta-Caryophyllene, Pinene, Myrcene, Limonene and Terpinolene among other less common terpenes such as linalool and humulene.

There are no known reports of anyone ever overdosing on CBD.  However, extremely large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness.

The amount of CBD varies from product to product.  Please refer to the labels of our products that both show how much CBD is in the entire conduct and a breakdown of the amount of CBD per serving.

The ideal serving size varies from person to person and also depends on the type of product being used.  In general, serving sizes of 5 to 50 milligrams per day are commonly reported for health maintenance and minor issues.

CBD can be taken multiple times each day or at certain times of day pending on the reason it’s being used.

CBD is generally well tolerated with and without food. However, since cannabis extract is fat soluble, it is generally recommended that it be taken after eating.

Extremely large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness, otherwise, there are no known negative side effects of CBD.

All 4Fathers Organics CBD products undergo rigorous testing by 3rd party labs for potency and harmful contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides and microbiology such as mold.

CBD products should be stored in an airtight container in a cool dark place.  Refrigeration is not required although, highly recommended since refrigerators are a cool dark place.

If full-spectrum CBD products are being used, it is possible for THC to be detected since full-spectrum products contain up to 0.3% THC.  Our broad-spectrum CBD products contain 0.0% THC and therefore THC should not be detected when industry-standard sophisticated testing methods are used.  However, 4Fathers Organics unfortunately cannot, and does not represent or warrant as to the results that any individual may experience and suggests you consider the risks of incorrect detection prior to using our products.

If you are using any prescription medication you should first consult with a qualified medical professional before using CBD. Much more research needs to be done in this area and we are not qualified to give any medical advice.

We do not use any harsh solvents in our extraction process.  Our cannabinoid products are extracted through a USDA Certified Organic CO2 extraction process, which one of the cleanest forms of extraction in the industry.  In making our broad spectrum oil, we remove the THC by using a USDA Certified Organic chromatography extraction process. We encourage you to read about Our Process.

Our hemp is sourced from various organic hemp farms throughout the United States, including Colorado and New York State.

All 4Fathers Organics CBD products are vegan friendly except for our softgels and salves.  All our CBD tinctures (both full-spectrum and broad-spectrum) are USDA Certified Organic as is our CBD Salves, CBD gummies (strawberry-lemonade and green apple) and CBD massage oil.  Most of the products that are not USDA Certified Organic contain organic ingredients.  It is our hope to have all our CBD products be USDA Certified Organic in the future.

All 4Fathers Organics CBD products are gluten free and dairy free.  However, many of our CBD products contain tree-nut ingredients such as MCT oil.  Therefore, if you are allergic to tree-nuts such as coconuts, you should not use any CBD products containing tree-nut ingredients, which will be identified on our product labels.

High quality CBD is well tolerated and is safe for pets.  However, we recommend that you consult with a veterinarian who is knowledgeable in the use of CBD oil in pet health and is familiar with your pet before giving your pet CBD.

The endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a system that is comprised of a network of receptors that play a significant role in most, if not all the physiological processes that take place within human the body. Phytocannabinoids such as CBD interact with the receptors of the ECS to promote balance (i.e., homeostasis).
